square giftedFor the majority of students with mild learning disabilities, research indicates that placement in mainstream classrooms with their peers is the most appropriate learning environment. However, many students will require some adjustments to curriculum content, learning and assessments and with such support are usually able to achieve the same learning outcomes as the rest of the class, but perhaps at a slightly different pace.

Teachers are asked to identify and make appropriate adjustments to the curriculum to ensure that students with special needs have the same access as other students. For those students requiring a more specialised education setting, the school site plan includes special education facilities. It is anticipated that these facilities will be provided in the development of future stages.
